In 2020, we were commissioned to give the long-established photo retailer Hamer a radical facelift. In addition to having clear ideas about a contemporary look, the new generation of the owner family also had a start-up in their portfolio, the technology rental company Gearflix, which was to be integrated into the newly designed store.

The result is quite impressive. The clear spatial layout with the self-service area at the street front ensures transparency and low thresholds. The mix of materials, including OSB, MDF, and expanded metal surfaces, combined with neon-like lighting elements and the striking ceiling sail against the raw ceiling, wall, and floor design, creates a modern space with clean lines and high design quality, without pushing the star of every store—the product—into the background.
